Part 1 - Introduction

Report Runner Documentor is free report (.RPT) documentation utility for any Report Runner customer. It's quick and easy to use. It can scan directories recursively looking from .RPT files. Once found, it will analyze them and log all of the information to a SQL Server database (that you host). 

Note: You must have access to a SQL Server database to use Report Runner Documentor. You can only document reports once you have configured a connection string to connect to it and created the initial tables. See the KB article "Setting Up and Using Report Runner Documentor" for steps to configure the connection string.

Our documentation is intentionally short, direct, and without a lot of fluff. If a feature is obvious (like "Exit"), we will not waste time explaining what it does.
